Blade specialize in buying and selling young and contract reared calves. If you require calves please order in advance to avoid disappointment.

Young Calves

Young calves are available all year round, and are grouped according to the customer’s requirements.

Calves are:

Normally grouped by breed, sex and type
Approximately 50 – 65 kgs live weight
Between 10 and 28 days old
Sourced from regular Blade Farming suppliers

Contract reared weaned calves

Our contract reared calves are only reared to order. On delivery to the purchaser they will normally be:

At least 100kgs live-weight
About 12 – 14 weeks old
Dehorned
Vaccinated
Pre-movement TB tested

The price for your reared calf is set when the order is placed and the calves enter the rearing unit. Transport, vaccination, and excess weight (weight over 100kgs) will be charged.
